Hong Kong...
Notice how all my pictures posted so far about Hong Kong are taken around a table laden with food/plates cleaned of food? Hahahha... says something about 1) Hong Kong's delights and 2) what my family usually does to hang out! *grin*Yum, good food! My cute Hong Kong cousins, who kept puzzling me with Cantonese riddles... This was taken at the Spanish restaurant in a nice colonial building at Stanley Bay, with great views of the ocean.

One of my first decent macro shots of a flower. Nice? Taken at Lower Pierce reservoir after a rainy morning, hence the water droplets =)
One a day...
More about the title of my webpage, a phrase I really like right now. Not just an inspiring proverb, the word APPLES can also be strung out to form an all-encompassing guideline to good speech. Like so:A - ppropriate
P - leasant
P - ure
L - ovely
E - ncouraging
S - incere
Isn't that neat?? Kudos to Sean Goh for teaching us this delightful acronym. He says he got it from this page: http://www.creativeladiesministry.com/applesofgolddev.html
I'm having trouble accessing the page right now, hope you guys have better luck!

Spidey and Mary-Jane! Ahh, I like this poster, it's a great image. Except MJ has too much hair in her face. Anyway...
One of the cutest romantic films I've seen in a long while. The leads are utterly charming, and it's a great deal more palatable than many romantic comedies today. People of that era just seemed so much more *nice*, honorable and well-mannered, and sincere! Hmm..
Ahh, it's great. And here I thought everyone suddenly knew HTML. OK, updates. Aside from bumming, I watched Spiderman 2, and it's great!! It really delivers on just about every front - drama, action, comedy, romance! I think the really great thing is the effort they put into characterization; plus, they hired really great actors. Tobey Maguire is great, sensitive, yet not afraid to ham it up as a geek and get the laughs. He's done really good work in The Cider House Rules. I plan to see Seabiscuit soon..
The gals together at Michele and Shawn's wedding, Saturday 26/06/04. Irene and Qin were bridesmaids, while Serene, Me and Bel played the piano, clarinet and flute respectively for the processionals. It was an utterly grand yet fun and nice wedding, held at the beautiful Chijmes Hall.
First up!
Humhum, my first third-wave blog post. Now it's so easy to get a kick-ass, easy-on-the-eye format instead of doodling around with html. Now my personal life is laid bare for the world to see! Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the inner sanctum of Elaine Phua!Nah, basically this'll just be a place for me to share musings, movie recommendations, and photo snippets from my life, so people can be updated. And I'll have made my dent on the WWW.
Take care, and take it all in.
